Beautiful Hand Carved Dark Walnut Humidor, circa 1860

This beautiful antique humidor has intricate, hand carved detailing on each side, as well as the top and feet. A very rare and precious find, this is the only example of this humidor that we have had the opportunity to restore. There is an accessory drawer for cutters, punches, etc. The humidor has a beautiful patina and it even includes the original key. This beautiful ornately carved humidor is the only example we have seen of this particular style. We found this ornately adorned humidor in Yorkshire, UK, and it has been restored to its original condition. The lid and base feature a beautiful molding, and all hardware is in excellent condition. Undoubtedly, countless hours were spent with the painstaking carvings that were required to create this exceptional humidor. The fine quality craftsmanship and details make this humidor a superb piece of art in its own right. The ornate carvings are on all four sides of the humidor as well as the lid, and they are deeply carved in intricate details and high relief.
