- Q. What type of woods do you have available?
- Kiln dried Walnut, Cherry, Oak and Mahogany. We also have 136 different species and sub-species of domestic and exotic woods available, including many beautiful figured woods.
- Q. Does your humidor have a protective finish?
- Yes. We apply a multiple coat lacquer finish, sanding between coats.
Lacquer is a very hard and durable finish that will keep your humidor
beautiful and looking like new for years.
- Q. Does your humidor include the humidification system?
- Yes. When you purchase an American Heritage Collection humidor, included
with it are a Credo Humidifier, a Credo Hygrometer and a bottle of Credo
Special Care Solution. We also include a Setup and Care Chart. There
is absolutely nothing extra to purchase. You get the complete system.
- Q. Why is the humidification system so important?
- Your humidor must maintain a relative humidity of 70 percent. If the
humidity is too low, your cigars will be dry and burn too quickly, and
the smoke will be hot and acrid. If the humidity is too high, you cigars
will be damp and be hard to draw, and the smoke will be heavy and pungent.
If you do not have a proper humidification system, you are simply storing
your fine cigars in a box. Fine cigars deserve a fine humidor.
- Q. Why do you use gold plated hinges and locks?
- Because they will remain bright and never tarnish and become discolored
as brass does. Your humidor will look like new for years to come.
- Q. Are handles and locks available on any model?
- Yes. Handles and locks are available on all of our humidors.
- Q. Are the cigar dividers movable?
- Yes. The dividers in the tray as well as the dividers in the lower
compartment are removable.
- Q. Why put such detail into a humidor?
- There are 167 detailed steps required in the creation of each American
Heritage Collection Humidor. We put the extra details into each and
every humidor because we demand only the best. Our goal is quality not
quantity. The extra skill required, as well as the standard included
extras for which many manufactures charge extra, are just a reflection
of our commitment to excellence. We take pride in our creations and
view them as works of art, not merely box building.
- Q. How many cigars will your humidor hold?
- Each size is listed for your reference, but the capacity can vary
depending on the length and gauge of your cigars.
- Q. I want a special size humidor. Do you make custom sizes?
- We would be happy to give a quotation on that special size. Due to
the fact that we do not have a production line operation, we can easily
accommodate any special request. Please note that all custom humidors are non-returnable, and any variation from a stock humidor is considered a custom humidor.
- Q. Why do you use the miter joint assembly?
- Simply put, because it is the best joint. Although it takes longer
to construct a humidor using this method, we think it is well worth
the extra effort. You will not find a better assembly method than ours.
- Q. What about your Guarantee?
- Try our humidor for 90 DAYS. If you are not completely satisfied,
return it for a complete refund, excluding shipping. No questions asked.

- Q. What kind of Warranty do you offer?
- We offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY against defects in materials and
workmanship. Simply return your humidor and we will repair or replace
it and return it to you free of charge.
- Q. Why is the Spanish Cedar lining so important?
- The Spanish Cedar helps maintain the moisture and properly age your
cigars. We don't line just the top or the bottom. We completely line
our humidors - sides, top and bottom.
- Q. Can I get a humidor without the panel lid?
- Yes. All of our humidors are available with a plain lid if you do
not prefer the panel lid.
- Q. Can I get a digital hygrometer on any of your humidors?
- Yes. Digital hygrometers are available on all of our humidors.
- Q. Is custom etching available on your glass top humidors?
- We do our own glass etching to insure the variety and quality that we demand, and custom etching is our speciality.
- Q. Can I get a beveled glass top on any size humidor?
- Yes. Beveled glass is available on any of the sizes of humidors that we make.
- Q. Are your humidors available unfinished?
- Yes. Deduct 10% for an unfinished humidor. But, unfinished humidors are non-returnable once a finish has been applied.
