"The Ancient Oak"

The Ancient Oak Humidor is the most elite humidor of the entire American Heritage Humidor Collection. It is crafted from the rarest and most expensive wood we have ever acquired, and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to present a humidor of this distinction. The Aficionado is made from an oak that has been carbon dated by Geochron Laboratories as being approximately 5,970 years old. A copy of the carbon dating report is included with each humidor to verify the actual date. The color of the oak varies from a rich chocolate brown to dark ebony.
This rare and exquisite wood was found buried about 70 feet beneath the earth’s surface in an Ohio valley. The trees were discovered by an excavating crew that was working a gravel pit. It is believed that a natural dam broke and suddenly buried the entire area that these oaks were in. This is truly the find of a lifetime and such wood may never be available again.
Due to the rarity of this wood we are limiting this series to 25 signed and numbered pieces; the smallest limited edition series to date. Each humidor is crafted with classic detailing and a hand-rubbed lacquer finish that accentuates the beauty of this exceptional wood. Act now to own a unique piece of the past.
